Hye Thyme Cafe: Quirk Books Entertains Your Kids! 20 Crafts, Recipes, Activities and More

Welcome to the Hy
e Thyme Cafe. Although not all of my recipes are Armenian, the name is a little nod to my Armenian grandmother who is no longer with us. The Hye refers to all things related to her homeland, and she represents all things food-related to me, so the two just seemed to go together. I can't even claim that my Armenian recipes are truly Armenian, since Greece, Turkey, Armenia, Lebanon, Syria, and even Egypt share so many foods that they've all sort of morphed into one over thousands of years.

Whether you like to cook, bake, have never done either, or just like to play with your food...come on in and join me! :)

Quirk Books Entertains Your Kids! 20 Crafts, Recipes, Activities and More

The folks over at Quirk Books figure that those of you with kids on summer vacation might have heard the words "I'm bored" more than a time or two.  With that in mind, they have created this cute little e-book, which is a compilation of excerpts from some of their cooking, crafting, and parenting books.

If you could use a few ideas on how to entertain the kids in pinch, head on over to Quirk to check out this and other offerings, then follow their link to Scribid to download a copy.  In the Words of Quirk ...

"Children don’t come with an owner’s manual, so Raising Quirk brings together advice, activities, entertainment, and, most important, other parents who still feel kinda like kids themselves. Our motto: We help cool parents raise cool kids. After all, parenting is a lifelong adventure, and we’re all in it together. Consider us your virtual playgroup and join us at Raising Quirk online."

For additional ideas (and commiseration ) Raising Quirk is Quirk Books' parenting community and can be found on both Facebook and Twitter.
